What this service is

CheckThisQuote is a free informational tool. It compares the line items on a vehicle repair estimate against reference data — typical parts prices, published repair times, and regional labor rates — and points out lines worth questioning. It gives you information and questions to ask. It is not a professional appraisal, not legal or mechanical advice, and not an accusation against any shop.

No guarantee

Reference ranges are estimates. Your vehicle, your region, parts availability, and the actual condition of the car can all justify prices outside our ranges. Where we have no reference data we say so rather than guess. Decisions about your repair — and any conversation with your shop — are yours. Always get a written estimate from the shop.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping, bulk automated submissions, or attempts to circumvent rate limits. We may throttle or block traffic that degrades the service for everyone else.

Limitation of liability
